General Description: The summer school provides an advanced intensive training course for research students, scholars and professionals who are working in the area of the economics and policy of competition and market regulation. It combines training in:
i) the institutional and legal features of competition policy in the EU compared to other regions;
ii) the economic and theoretical underpinnings of market regulations;
iii) the analysis of case studies.
The lecturers are leading international academics and professionals with outstanding experience in the field.
Participants: The school is open to 30 students from all countries. Students are expected to attend the school full time.

Fees and Scholarships: Participants will be charged 750,00 euro covering registration, accommodation, lunch meals (not dinner) and background material. Limited number of grants covering travelling expenses and fee waivers might be offered subject to fund availability.
Location: The school will take place at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Milano, Via Conservatorio 7, 20122 Milano, ITALY.
This beautiful historical building is located in the very centre of Milano.
Accommodation will be provided at University hostels in single and double rooms.
Period: The school will start on Monday, September 7, 2009 at lunch time (2.15 pm) and will end on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11.45 am.
