Topic of thesis: Cultural legitimity in music: a study of sound engineers
Abstract: Sound engineers have been few documented in social sciences. Nonetheless, they are omnipresent in contemporary music practices. Thus, they offer a particularly relevant entry for studying variations in the working practices of different types of art worlds. We will try to understand how these practices enlight the theory of cultural legitimacy from a new perspective, based on the use of technics.
