
Topic of thesis: The introduction of choice agendas and choice models in public services, from person-centred-practices to cash-for-care schemes such as Direct Payments, Personal Budgets and Vouchers
Abstract: A thorough understanding of the origins, developments and effects of choice agendas in public polices and choice models in public services is the object of this project. The aim that of analysing the trajectory of choice agendas, and the discourses underpinning them, as they translate from policy into practices. The focus is on social care services for disabled people in the UK and Italy. Discourse analysis, interviews and observation methods will be employed for the purposes of this project
