Topic of thesis: Ordoliberalism as strategy of Europeanization
Abstract: The research follows the recent academic debate on the role of German ordoliberalism on European politics, and specifically on the reforms to counter the Euro crisis. It intends to reconstruct the model of European integration proposed by the ordoliberals, in order to analyse its actual impact on the most recent developments of the European integration, i.e. the reform of the economic governance. For this purpose, the research will: 1) sketch out the origins and evolution of ordoliberalism; 2) focus on the ordoliberal position on European integration; 3) compare the ordoliberal positions with the reforms of economic governance in order to find out to what extent it influenced them.
