Topic of the thesis: Development and testing within an experimental framework of a computational methodological paradigm for studying the digital space based on an original adaptation of Bourdieu's epistemology and methodology.
Abstract: What are the effects of the digital transformation on individuals' cultural identities? Using modern computational tools and affirmed sociological theory the thesis focuses on the development of a quantitative methodology for studying the relationship between individuals' digital practices and digital communities membership, in order to infer the hierarchies of human values that constitute the justification for individuals' behaviours and interpretations of reality. Such information can then be used as a variable in subsequent inferential studies or to better describe the digital social space.
