This workshop will introduce participants to using R, the free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. Attendance to this workshop is also a necessary precondition for participating in the following workshop on 'Computational Modelling of Text for the Social Sciences'.

This "hands-on" workshop is part of the series "Social media methods" organised in cooperation with SOMET (Sociology and Methodology of Social Research) PhD programme and POMLAB (Public Opinion and Media Lab).
