"Social media methods" is a new series of methodological "hands-on" workshops open to all NASP PhD students.
Each of these workshops will cover 2 or 3 morning sessions. Participants will be required to download and install specific freeware or open-source softwares on their laptops. Practical exercises will be conducted under the instructors' supervision.
Please consider this as a unique opportunity to learn new techniques and softwares for digital data analysis, which could be useful both as a possible complement of your research design and for future academic or professional perspectives.
If you are willing to participate, please email prof. Mauro Barisione ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) at least one week before each workshop. A more detailed plan for each workshop will be provided in due time.
The series is organised in cooperation with SOMET (Sociology and Methodology of Social Research) PhD programme and POMLAB (Public Opinion and Media Lab). It received support from Fondazione Cariplo and Compagnia di San Paolo.
