In 2014 the French economist Jean Tirole (Toulouse School of Economics) was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his analysis of market power and regulation in natural monopolies and oligopoly.
In 2005 Prof. Jean Tirole was the keynote speaker of the Telcome Lecture held at the GSSEPS (Graduate School in Social, Economic and Political Science) of the University of Milan.
