He directs the Center for Studies and Research on Higher Education Systems. Member of UNIRES, Consortium of Higher Education Researchers, Academia Europaea, Italian Society of Economic Sociology, editorial boards of "Higher Education", and "Studies in Higher Education”. He is also working at the PNRR National Biodiversity Future Centre. Graduated in Economics, holds a PhD in Sociology. 

Main research interests 
His main field of interest is the study of the relationship between higher education, society and the economy: student life and career, graduate employment and work, the academic profession, the third mission of the university, in particular Public Engagement and university-business collaboration, science & society.
