Topic of the thesis: Unaccompanied Foreigner Minors navigating the Italian reception system
Abstract: The project aims to analyse the Italian reception system for unaccompanied foreign minors by answering the following question: "Is the Italian reception system suitable and adapted to the specific needs of unaccompanied foreign minors (UFMs)?" Theoretically, the research is built upon two different streams: multilevel governance (specifically the horizontal dimension) and street-level bureaucracy. Methodologically, the project is developed on a multisite ethnography.
Research interests: Networks, CSOs, and local initiatives related to migrants' inclusion; undocumented migrants; unaccompanied foreigner minors; multilevel governance of migration; meso-level governance of migration; migrant political and social inclusion and participation;
