Abstract
This workshop discusses the problem of measurement errors in survey research.
This requires, of course, that we are able to estimate or predict the measurement quality of survey questions. We will discuss the approach behind the prediction of the reliability and validity of questions using the free-access Survey Quality Prediction (SQP 2.1) software which has been developed on the basis of the evaluation of 4000 questions using multi-trait multi-method (MTMM) experiments.
Finally, it will be shown how information about the measurement quality can be used for the correction for measurement errors in the analysis of the relationships between variables.
This seminar is part of MeMa - Methodology Matters Seminar Cycle.
