CALL FOR PAPERS
DEADLINE 24 MAY 2023
In the 2022 general elections, the outcome of the vote was clear and indicated a solid majority of the right coalition. However, this result does not give answers to the still open questions concerning the transformations of the political system and public opinion in Italy.
Is the country reaching a new political equilibrium that sees a stable preference for the right? Or do the 2022 elections represent yet another episode in the framework of substantial political instability? And how did the voters experience the electoral competition with, on the one hand, the center-right led by Giorgia Meloni and, on the other hand, the composite set of political players who oppose it?
Almost a year after the elections, the ITANES association is organizing a workshop to shed light on these questions, inviting contributions that analyze the reasons behind the choices made by Italian voters, framing them within the context of the electoral campaign and policy proposals offered by coalitions, parties and their leaders.
The call for papers is addressed in particular to young researchers (up to 12 years from the doctorate).
The authors of the selected proposals will have early access to the data collected by the ITANES association on the occasion of the 2022 elections.
Anyone wishing to participate is invited to send a short abstract in Italian or English (400-500 words) based on ITANES 2022 data and a short bio (max 80 words) by 24 May 2023.
Abstracts must be sent to:
