Topic of the thesis: Game houses: playing to live or living to play?

Abstract: Drawing from the STS methodologies and concepts, my project is aimed to research game houses. Considering the contemporary social trends, such as the virtualization of everyday practices and the growth of gaming, the suggested study consists of an ethnological observation, both face-to-face and remotely, of the life inside a game house and the sense-making praxes of its inhabitants. This should be the best place to carry out this study, as a matter of fact, it can be considered as a peculiar environment where quite all the different professions of the gaming field gather to work together. Moreover, the ethnomethodological approach chosen by the researcher will be complemented by his psychological view, offering the opportunity to deepen the description of the object and to include multiple points of view on it.
